Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Linux

Advantages and Disadvantages of Using Linux

I have been using linux for a long time, so I decided to write a small article on this topic. Using Linux has long been touted as a bit difficult and impossible to use because of a bit of hearsay. Frankly, although I occasionally installed on the virtual machine to write short articles about Linux, I finally decided to try and install it on my computer and I installed it. I installed it as the only operating system and get all my work done here. In this article, I will try to share with you what I learned from my own experience and from my research.

Benefits of Using Linux:
First of all, to mention the advantages;
You don't have to be afraid of malware. Malware does not bother you as most viruses are written for other operating systems and Linux is open source.
You will have great support. Since it is open source, there is great support. And your problem is solved in a short time.
Implementation shortage is not as much as before. You can find most applications. There is an alternative in applications that you cannot find.
Most games now provide. As I said in my previous articles, both games I played (ETS2 and Counter Strike: Go) worked flawlessly, even though I am not a person who plays a lot.
Most of them know your hardware on their own and often you don't have any problems like drivers etc.
Another big advantage is, of course, that both he and most programs are free.
It may sound like a ridiculous reason, but when you say I'm using linux among your friends, the eyes turn to you. Follow me: ClearOS, ReactOS. Especially those who have never used linux before and think of using linux as an environment where code is written is of particular interest.
Doing some work from the command line is a pleasure for people. (Although the terminal (command line) seems very scary at first, it is a great pleasure to install the program that you can install with a few clicks. It feels like "I installed this", "I did this".)
As I mentioned in the 8th article, installing a program etc. is not a job that has to be done from the command line. You can easily download it like a normal program (packages that end with .deb because I use ubuntu) and install it easily by double-clicking. But as I said, it may be more enjoyable to install from the command line after a little advance.

Disadvantages of Using Linux:

I mentioned that most of the drivers were installed by themselves, but it is a bit of a challenge to find and install what they do not.
Sometimes, you may not find the same programs that you use or have to use.
You need to tinker Google a little bit for the things you can't do. However, you usually find the solution to your problem most likely.
It sounds like a foreign environment at first. So it takes time to get used to it.
Great games offer support, but all of the games you are playing can support Linux. So if you are addicted to a game and don't have this game, it can be sad for you.
Solving some errors may require some knowledge.
Although you can solve your problems, etc., sometimes the sources can be in English. This situation may cause problems (for those whose English is scarce like me).
Low usage rate. (This creates a problem with the original support. Using it less also reduces the chances of large manufacturers writing programs to Linux.)
Game or design, drawing, etc., to avoid switching to Linux. if you have no reasons like programs. It is good to try it for a short time (at least over the virtual machine). Also, it is not bad in a little difference.
