Tinder comes with additional security

Tinder comes with additional security

According to the description of Match Group, the owner of the application, the new features will be launched in the USA on January 28 first. The company did not explain when the implementation will be launched in other countries

Security features to be brought to Tinder include emergency assistance, location tracking and photo verification. The company announced that it has signed an agreement with technology company Noonlight, which offers emergency assistance and personal security products for the new features over the internet. With the update, users will be able to keep the police up to date and report their location with a high level of accuracy.

Users will be able to record information about that person and date of meeting before meeting someone. If the user presses the panic button, this information and its location will be transmitted to the security units. The company, which also owns PlentyOfFish, OkCupid and Hinge, plans to bring additional features to these matchmaking applications by the end of this year. The photo verification feature of the application, which will be implemented in Tinder, which will control artificial intelligence, aims to prevent fake profiles.

WHAT WILL THE PHOTO VERIFICATION FEATURE WORK?

Users will be asked to send their real-time selfies and these photos will be checked by artificial intelligence. Matchmaking apps and some other internet platforms have been criticized for not taking enough precautions to protect their users. In the UK, police announced that in 2018 sexual assaults from matchmaking practices were doubled compared to four years ago.
